ITINERARY

18.00 – Your guide will collect you from your hotel, explain the plan for the evening, and give you a quick security briefing.

18.30 –We head off into the city and start at Ho Chi Minh mausoleum, where we have a wander around the square watching the city come alive as evening falls.

We drive you around the old quarter where you will see locals enjoying their evenings and stop off at a famed local restaurant to enjoy some real Vietnamese food. You will get to try Pho Cuon (Fresh rice noodles with beef and herbs) and Pho Chien Phong (Deep fried noodles with stir fried vegetables and beef)

We continue on to a local park, where we can sit and watch the world go by, whilst the locals enjoy the cool of the evening relaxing and playing games, before we head off to experience some true local Hanoi food. In the local eateries you can be as adventurous as you want tasting the local delicacies, such as Bun Cha (grilled pork and noodles) or Bun Dau Mam (rice noodles with tofu and shrimp paste or a bowl of Tom or Phom traditional Vietnamese spicy soups.

Once we have sampled a vast array of the delights of Hanoi food we will move on to the Long Bien Bridge. The bridge was designed by Alexander Eiffel, and has some similarities to the famous tower in Paris. The bridge is still in use and retains much of its old character, whilst restoration to is former glory is under way.
